I think that you can see now that I have a quite number of foundations, but I have been drowning for one specifically.
Because I didn´t know why this was happening I made a retrospective to reach the reason why.
And I found the answer.
First, this foundation has been my trip companion during all summer. Second, it’s the easiest application foundation that I have. Third, recently my skin has been good, so I don´t need much coverage.
I’m talking about the Cushion Foundation by Chanel, Les Beiges.
A couple of months ago I went to a Sephora with the mission of buying a cushion foundation. I wanted to try one. Everyone had one and I thought, why not? I made a little search to know what were the cushion foundations that were on market and this one caught my attention.
At Sephora, the saleswoman applied on me to see what was the color and said that maybe this was not what I was looking for because it didn´t have the coverage that I’m used to. I bought it anyway.
Let’s talk about the product itself. The Les Beiges is the first cushion foundation from Chanel.
It has a lightweight aqua-gel texture that you won’t feel that you are wearing makeup.
It leaves the skin with a subtle tint, sheer dewy finish, and has spf25. Yes if you are expecting some medium coverage, this is not for you. This is a sheer to light coverage that you can build just a little. What it makes is improve your skin making it look healthy.
It comes in 10 shades, mine is number 50 but maybe it will change at winter, and beauties I never had a foundation so similar to my skin tone. I can say that when I’m applying I don´t know where I already put the foundation. It´s similar to my skin tone, incredible. And can I say that I love the smell of this tint, it smells luxurious!
Les Beiges leaves a dewy finish like we have some glow in our face that in some areas I cover with powder and I don´t have an oily skin, so if you have I don´t think you´re going to like this one. If you still want to try it anyway, you can put a mattifying powder all over your face. But don´t get me wrong the shine is not bad is just something new that we are not used in a foundation. I really like the glow that this foundation leaves in some parts of my face, that´s why I didn’t use powder all over my face.
Because it comes in a compact it´s great for travel and to be with you for touch ups. It´s easy to apply so it´s perfect for when you just have 5 minutes to get out of the house and lasts all day even in the summer, and it doesn´t transfer.
Application tips: Because this has a sheer coverage and is so matchy matchy with my face, I put the concealer first, under the eyes and also where I have some imperfections. In this way, I don´t need to worry about them not being covered.
You can apply with the puff applicator, as I usually do or you can use a foundation brush for more buildable results.
This foundation has 11g, 0.38OZ and has a price of $60.00. It´s expensive compared to the liquid foundation that has 30mL but I´m expecting (and praying) for the day that Chanel (have mercy on us) brings the refills to the cushion.
