Zoeva Opulence Blush Palette – Is it worth it?

Hello beauties,

This week I was at a Sephora store and I did very well, if I may say so. I controlled myself for most of the time but I didn’t resist and bought the new Zoeva Opulence Blush Palette.

This palette is part of the Opulence collection, which consists of three products: the eyeshadow palette, the blush palette and a brush set.

They can be purchased separately or in a set. If you want the whole collection, the set has a nicer price.

But let’s talk about the one I bought it…

The Zoeva Opulence Blush Palette consists on two powder blushes (Impossible to move, Underneath the gold) with a matte finish and one highlighting shade (Do not touch) with a pearl finish.

”A homage to the magic of great still life art, the Zoeva Opulence Blush palette holds a curate collection of richly pigmented powder shades that enhance and adorns features”.

The whole collection is floral-inspired. And the packaging is a homage of that – black with a lot of flowers (dahlias and orchids)! It’s all about drama, even the color shades!

For me, I think that the three hues have a good size for the price (15,50€), so overall it was a great purchase.

Let’s see each one:

– Do not touch

This is the first one and the the highlight. It adds an illuminating veil of radiance and the texture blends perfectly. It gives a healthy glow. At the end of the day I can still see some glow on my cheeks.

How to use: I like to apply the luminous shade on top of cheekbones, the back of the nose and on the Cupid’s bow.

If you asked me a few months ago, I would say that I didn’t use highlighter everyday, but today I can tell you that I can not live without it! I love the effect it gives to my skin.

In my collection I have more liquid highlighters than powders, so this was a great acquisition.

– Impossible to move

This is the second shade, the first blush. I love it! This for me is the star of this palette!

I never thought liking this shade for me as a blush. I always used (and liked) the pink colors as blush but I love this peach shade on my skin. The only word I can think when I use this is: fresh! It gives you a sweet, healthy look. And the best? It blends seamlessly and easily in the skin!

How to use: I like to smile at the mirror with lips closed and dap a little bit of blush color onto the check bones. Then blend it!

This is the perfect example on how we don’t have to be afraid of trying new colors. You could be surprised, like me…

– Underneath the gold

When I opened the palette on store, this was the color that call my attention! But no…I’m sorry to say that, but for my skin tone this is the worst color possible!

First the color is two dark for my skin tone (and I applied it with a light hand). I look like a clown. I think that a darken skin tone would look lovely with this shade.

Unfortunatly I cannot give this to a friend because it’s attached to the other two that I like.

I will not leave it in a drawer to rot so I decided to try and use it as an eyeshadow and guess what? I love it! The color is gorgeous and it looks so good. What do you think?

The rest of the collection, unfortunately is not yet available in my country. But I can tell you a little bit about it.

  • The Zoeva Opulence Eyeshadow Palette

From rosy copper over hues of ivory dahlia to vibrant royal blue orchids, the palette features the perfect shades finishes. The finishes come from matte to metallic!

It has a cost of 22,50€.

  • The Zoeva Opulence Vegan Brush set

Its a selection of ten professional makeup brushes made of pure synthetic hair, coated in a deep plum color. It also brings a burgundy clutch with a lush floral inlay.

It has a cost of 95€.

What do you think about this collection? What do you want to try?
