Recently I decided to try a new foundation.
I was looking for more coverage than the one that I was using, here. My daily skincare routine improved a lot my dehydrated skin, so it was time to try other foundations.
I always had a lot of difficulties when it comes the time to try new foundations. My problem? Some foundations makes my skin oilier and others makes my dry patches more visible (mostly in my T-zone). This is a general problem for people that have combination skin. My solution was to use a foundation with less coverage and more water in its composition.
Last month I saw that Clinique launched the Even Better Glow foundation and I decided that it was the perfect foundation to try (so I bought it).
Let’s see the information provided on Clinique’s website:
‘Moisturizing foundation instantly creates a natural radiance with subtle luminizing pigments. Wear it every day and over time bare skin glows on its own, thanks to vitamin C. Broad spectrum SPF 15 helps prevent future dark spots. Long-wearing, oil-free.’
It’s winter in my country, so I thought that a moisturizing foundation was the best option because I was feeling my skin a little bit dull. The fact that the Even Better Glow contains Vitamin C was another reason to why I chose it – so the fact that they promised a glower skin over time.
I think it’s good when we can invest on a product that it’s great at the time but over time we can see even more diferences.
I bought the shade: CN 52 Neutral
You can choose between 24 different shades. According to the website, the Neutral shade has a:
Photo 1- No makeup | Photo 2- With foundation
Honestly I think that it’s a little bit darker to my skin tone – I should have opted for a ligther shade. But overall, the shade is beautiful, I love the coverage that this foundation give to my skin, even my dark spots are covered (you can see a big difference between the two photos). But what I love the most is the luminous finish, it’s great when I want a even skin but with a certain glow.
I can use it for a good 4/5 hours with no signal of dry patches – which is great! Normally they appear almost instatly after I apply foundations.
For more results, I try it on my mother- She has dry skin and it’s even better on her skin. Since she’s using it, her skin is more luminous and her dry patches doesn’t appear for more than 8 hours. It’s incredible on her skin.
It’s the perfect shade for her, so I gave it to her, but when I have the chance, I will buy a lighter shade for me (maybe the shade Tea or Stone?).
The price is also great, it costs $28 / 37.50€ and you can buy it on:
