b.liv Deep Impact [Review]| Pore Cleanser! Is it possible???

(disclaimer- this is not an ad and does not contain any affiliate links. b.liv was kind enough to give us one product in exchange for our honest review).

Hello, beauties,

As you know by now I have combination skin but I also have really bad clogged pores on my nose, so I need to keep my pores cleaned as much as I can.

Since my teenage years that I battle with blackheads on my nose. It’s really unattractive and I have a lot of care to what I use on my skin because there are a lot of products that can clog the pores.

If you see the photo that is in the end, you’ll see that my nose pores look very clogged and disgusting.

If you have oily skin, maybe you have a nose like mine. My pores love to segregate oil and then dirt gets trapped, clogging the pores. It’s a cycle. Its what skin does. I get it.

When b.liv reached me by email and offered me one product in exchange for my honest review, I was very happy, because for what I read, this product was perfect for me!  I received the product just a few days after, it was super quick and it was beautifully packaged.

‘This emulsion delves deep to expel imperfections to reveal the true beauty of your skin, as it cleanses and massages your face to porcelain perfection. It also gently but effectively exfoliates and clarifies your skin. Your real beauty can now shine inside out’.

As I’m older, I have been giving priority to brands that use natural ingredients and that don’t use animal tests (I checked!!). This product has, among other ingredients:

  1. Kaolin (oil control): Absorb excess oil & dead cells that can clog skin and result in enlarged pores.
  2. Jojoba Beads (exfoliating): Remove dead skin cells.
  3. Witch Hazel: Anti-oxidant & astringent.
  4. Aloe Vera: Anti-inflammation, Soothing and moisturizing.
  5. Tea Tree Oil: Antiseptic, anti-bacterial and anti-oxidant properties.

According to the website, this product has a lot of benefits, such as:

  • Cleanse pores gently
  • Promote microcirculation for a healthy-pores skin
  • Velvety smooth touch of skin
  • Prevent blemishes and pores blockage

How to use it

  1. Apply a thin layer of deep impact to damp skin.
  2. Gently massage in an upward and outward circular motion until the beads fully dissolved.
  3. Rinse well.

Texture/ Scent

First, let’s talk about the texture of the product. It has a creamy-moisturizer texture. It’s quite thick but not sticky at all. It has jojoba beads (tiny) that dissolve very easily as we massage the product on the skin.

Don’t worry because the beads are very gentle so it won’t cause any harm to the skin. This is kind of an exfoliating, so I have one rule with the exfoliating, that is never massages the beads more than 1 minute.

I think it’s important to damp the skin before applying the product, otherwise, the product stays dry and then its hard to massage.

Another thing is that a little bit goes a long way so the product will last for a long time. I just need a little bit to my entire face.

Oh, and it has a very nice smell, it reminds me a pharmaceutical hydrating cream that I used when I was younger, but I can’t remember. But it’s good and not strong, which is good if you don’t like strong scents.

Results:

I’m using this for 4 weeks so I feel that its safe to talk about it. On the second time I used it, I felt my nose area drier than the usual, so much that I had my skin kind of peeling (like when we are in the end of a cold) but this probably happened because I liked so much the feeling of clean, smooth skin that I made the mistake to only use moisturizer a couple of hours after.

Then I noticed my mistake (people, this is a gentle exfoliating!) and started to use a moisturizer right after. And I never felt the skin-peeling anymore. In the instructions, they recommended using the product only two times per week, and I think that it’s enough!

I love the feeling of clean pores. They’re still noticeable but this product has not the function of shrinking pores. But I have a lot less blackheads.

You can see that I had some pimples before and I still have, so don’t expect miracles. But my nose pores are so clean, I can see a big difference. Even the skin texture is better.

I have combination skin, so in future, I will only use this product on the zones that I have more oily skin and where I feel that I have clogged pores, because it really dries the skin. So, if you have oily skin this is perfect, you will notice an improvement on your oil production, but if you have dry/normal skin maybe try only using this one time per week and see if your skin likes it.

b.liv have really interesting products and it’s not difficult to see why its the leading brand in pores management solution. I already have my eye on another two products from their brand! Check their Website if you have some curiosity about their products.
