After seeing and reading so much about the Nyx Powder Puff lipsticks, I felt that it was the right time to try it. Unfortunately, I only got one (everything was sold out, but I have a few reserved).
The box brings just a little information, and in the back, an image of the color lipstick on lips (for me, the color on the image and the color that stays on my lips, are completely different). If you can, try a tester (on the back of the hand) because the image is not realistic.
In the box we can read:
‘Powder to the Pout! Pucker up and swipe on that just-kissed flush of color! Featuring a soft cushion applicator, this lightweight lippie goes on mousse-y and sets to a powdery-soft finish’.
I have the color Squad Goals (PPL04) and when I first opened the package, I honestly thought that I wouldn’t like the color – I’m more a nude girl. But I like it. It’s a raspberry pink color.
The cushion applicator reminds me the Too Faced melted lipsticks but this applicator is bigger and larger. I thought the application was going to be very difficult, but I was so wrong because it was very easy. The first time I apply it I was in my car, late for work and I thought ‘it’s the perfect time to try a new lipstick’ (really? Really, Rita??). But let me tell you, the applicator is perfect, don’t be scared with the size of it because it’s perfect for the lips and you will apply it easily (even in a car with a minuscule mirror).
I can’t wait to try more colors. The finish is very strange (but good), it’s a combination of semi-matte but at the same time is a little bit oily – I can see why they say that it sets to a powdery soft finish.
Its stayed beautifully on lips for 4 hours and when I ate I felt the color disappear a little bit but even at the end of the day I could still see a hint of color. For the price, I think that this is a good choice if you want a good lipstick. I can see myself reaching for this a lot in future.
It cost me 8.90€ and brings 0.4 fl. / 12mL.
Have you tried the Powder Puff Lippies? Do you like it? Let me know in the comments.
