At the beginning of January, Clarins expanded its Hydra Essential Range with the launch of two new products: the Hydra-Essential Moisturizing Reviving Eye Mask and the Moisture Replenishing Lip Balm.
A few weeks ago, I had a major case of dry under eyes. My concealer was awful right after I apply it and every time I removed my makeup I felt a ‘pulling’ sensation on my under eye skin. It was the perfect time to try the Hydra-Essential Moisturizing Reviving Eye Mask.
‘A light and melting cream-gel texture with a cooling effect that visibly minimizes signs of fatigue, wrinkles, dark circles and puffiness and fine dehydration lines’.
The cream-gel texture delivers hydrating, refreshing and soothing ingredients to restore brighter looking eyes. It contains extract of Kalanchoe Leaf, also known as the Leaf of Life. Kalanchoe is a succulent plant found in Madagáscar that’s able to retain water levels in spite of the extreme heat. It provides intense hydration to visibly smooth the appearance of dehydration lines. Others ingredients include Horse Chestnut that helps reduce the look of dark circles and heaviness around the eyes. Quinoa and Irish Moss extracts comforts and soothes the skin.
How to use
The mask can be used in two ways: first, as a 10-minute mask, whenever needed. Second, left on overnight, once or twice a week. If you want, you can remove any excess product with a cotton pad.
It has a cream-gel texture, very cooling and refreshing in a blue color (incolor after applied).
I really like this mask. Why? Because I love products that show results from the first application and this is the perfect example of that. On the first night that I used this, I applied a good amount of product and after 10 minutes I went to get a cotton pad to take off the excess but guess what? My skin sucked all the product! You can see by that how dry my skin was. Even now after two weeks using this cream, my skin always suck it almost immediately. I also love the texture, it’s not sticky but very lightweight and with a cooling effect, melting perfectly on my skin. I leave it all night, two times per week! I don’t see any difference in my dark circles, but in the morning my eye puffiness is gone and the concealer is always flawless when I apply it. I’m hoping the continuous use make something to my fine lines and my dark circles!
You can buy it on the Clarins website for $38.00 and in Portugal in a Sephora store for 41€.
