Hello beauties,
What if I told you that there’s a product that diminishes the redness of your skin without the need of using a foundation? That would be great, right? Well, I have them…sort off.
Last week, I was searching products online and I found some new launches in my country. I live in Portugal, and unfortunately, some products take a little time to arrive here. A good example of that is the cream that I just got – the Cicapair Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment.
Dr.Jart+ was created by a group of famous Korean dermatological specialist and it has a large range of products. You may have heard some things about this cream, or you may be oblivious to it like I was. Let’s see what they say on the package:
‘Neutralizes redness and protects skin. Helps to soothe sensitized skin resulting from external environmental stressors. Green-to-beige color changing formula corrects redness to present healthy looking skin’.
Promising right?
How to use
After using toner and serum, apply a moderate amount. The product will change from green-to-beige to correct any redness to even out skin tone before makeup application.
Final Thoughts
I was a little afraid to try this product because I previously bought the Dermaclear Micro Foam and that product irritated my skin, so much! It was very strange and I’m probably allergic to some component.
I wanted this cream mainly due to the fact that it contains SPF 30, and needed a cream with some coverage and a decent SPF to use on weekends (Sunday is my workout day, I like to run on my street but not without a protection on my skin).
First, this product didn’t make me any kind of irritation! Good! The smell is divine, probably due to the fact that this contains a lot of natural extracts and oils (Centella Asiatica, Fragaria Vesca leaf, Lavandula Angustifolia Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Oil, Houttuynia cordata Extract, Achillea Millefoilum extract, Arnica Montana Flower Extract, Artemisia Absinthium Extract, Gentiana Lutea Roof Extract, Anthemis Nobilis Flower oil, Gelaginella Lepidophylla Extract). I love Lavandula and Rosmarinus scent and we definitely can feel these two scents!
The color change it’s very visible. The product has a green color but when applied to the skin, turns a beige color. I’m a light shade and for me, it stays somewhat as my skin tone but on my mother (she’s a médium skin tone), she looked like a ghost. Take into consideration that you can use this product alone or before the foundation.
Photo 1 – no makeup (I’ve been sick, pardon my red nose); Photo 2- With Cicapair (just one layer)
It has some coverage, but nothing too major. It didn’t cover a pimple that I had but made it less noticeable. I saw a difference in my redness but some still stood out. After a few hours, I noticed some of my dry patches (on the nose) more visible.
The product fulfilled almost everything it promised (although it did not completely cover the redness of my skin) but what I did make me reconsider this product was the fact that it made my skin a little bit oilier, I noticed it after two hours.
I found a simple solution, at least for me: using a setting powder (not too much, just a little bit), then I use a bronzer and some mascara. I’m using this combination on weekends and some days of the week when I don’t want too much makeup.
Next week, it will be launched the Cicapair Serum in Portugal, yeah, it was pretty quickly because it was only launched on sephora.com this month.
Have you tried this product? Did it make your skin oilier or grabbed your dry patches? Tell me.
xoxo

If only something would ever cover redness! 😉
I get red easily, not just my face but usually red spots in my neck! You can only imagine what people think!
How much was this product? (Not sure if you mentioned it)

On Sephora.com you have the 50ml package available ($52.00). A little pricey so my advice is to buy the 15ml and see if it works for your skin type. A little goes a long way, believe me 😉 xx

Hello! I also live in Portugal and it’s been difficult to find this line here. In which site did you buy it? Thanks! 🙂
