This week I tried a new mask (at least here in Portugal) by Skinfood. It’s the Yuja Water C Vita Boosting Face Water. This is a vitalizing and boosting face mask that help revitalize skin. It’s rich in Goheung Yuja and 6 vitamins. The principal effect is the brightening.
Will the Yuja Water C face mask be a Hit or a Miss? Let’s first see why we should try it…
Do you know what’s Yuja? No? I didn’t too.Yuja, also known as yuzu in Japan, is a citrus fruit that is cultivated in Asia. It’ s sometimes referred to as “citron.” It’ s about the size of a tangerine, and is yellow-orange when ripe. The mature fruit contains a large amount of seeds. The fruit is not usually consumed like an orange, with the rind peeled and the pulp eaten. Like a lemon or lime, it is highly prized for its fragrant zest, essential oil, seeds, and juice.
Why should we use Yuja in our skincare regime?
Yuja has three times more vitamin C than lemon. Vitamin C is essential to the body’s production of collagen, a necessary component of healthy skin, hair, and nails. As a potent antioxidant, vitamin C also reduces free radical damage and boosts the body’ s immune system. Yuja’ s essential oils have a strong fragrance, which soothes and moisturizes rough skin, as well as relaxes the body and mind.
Who should try Yuja?
- If you have skin that looks oily on the surface, but is dehydrated inside.
- If you are concerned about dull-looking skin.
- If you have dry skin but don’ t like creams that are too oily or thick.
- If you want glowing skin.
- And if you are looking to hydrate and brighten skin at the same time.
How to use
After cleansing, evenly apply and massage your dry face and neck. After about 10-20 minutes, throughly rinse with lukewarm water, or wipe it off with a cotton pad moistened with water ot toner.
I received a sample from this mask and I’m happy that I’ve tried it because I was super curious about it. I love masks that contains natural ingredients and I like even more to try products with ingredients that I didn’t know. Always a little scared but well…
The product looks like gelly but it’s very easy to apply.
Would I buy the normal size of this mask? ehh. I did felt my skin softer and moisturized but I already have masks with the same effects. Maybe with continuous use, I could see more results. Take in consideration that I just tried it one time. I had two pimples that are less inflammated after I used this mask, so I can say that I didn’t dislike this mask. I have some curiosity on trying the normal size and see for myself what results this would do to skin with continuous use, specially because this is indicated for ‘oily’ but dehydrated skin.
Have you tried this mask? What do you think about it?
