My skincare bag for Vacations – Cuba style!

Hello beauties,

If you follow me on Twitter, you know that I went to Cuba last month!

It was amazing, I loved it. Paradise beaches, great food, and good company made this trip memorable.

It’s amazing to go on vacations, right? And visit other countries and cultures. The worst part is to decide what to put on the bag.
More precisely, what I am going to need, and what I am not going to. Sometimes it can be a challenge.
I thought of doing this post before going on vacation, but I realized that maybe it was better to do after and say what I really took and what should just be left at home.

So let’s start!

First, let’s dig in the skincare necessaire. The necessaire that I’ve been using for a while is from #Women´Secret. I love it because it is big enough to carry everything that I need in terms of the skincare department, including hair care and also the rest. It has a transparent, almost plastic cape around that is good if something spills off, so the clothes will not get dirty.

When you are limited in space, a product that is an all in one is best for you. That is why I brought to Cuba the Vichy Pureté Thermale 3 in 1. It takes the makeup off from face and eyes and it’s also a tonic for sensitive skin, which is good if you had a little too much of sun. That was also the one that I brought to my snow trip back in March. With just this one step you are ready to go.

My under eyes area is one of my main concerns, so I always have the concern over using a good under eye moisturizing because it is really a dry area. The Darphin Hydraskin All Day Eye Refresh Gel-Cream is really what I like. Soft, with a nice application and provides me with enough amount of hydration.

One of my recently holy grails is the Pixi Glow Tonic. I love this product. But I couldn’t use it in Cuba. Why?! Because when I arrived at the hotel, the bottle was empty. I don’t know what happened. I think with the pressure of the airplane it disappeared. Well, I love the Pixi glow tonic, but in the next trip, it won’t come with me.

One thing that you need all year but especially in summer is hydration to your body and face. I recently bought the Neutrogena Hydra booth capsule-in-serum. I decided on this one because last year I used the Neutrogena Hydra booth gel -cream and was the perfect cream for summer, so because I was in a need of a serum I thought on this one.
It’s fantastic for summer. It’s lightweight, refreshing and hydrates. I don’t think is enough to winter for a dry skin but for summer it may be. And to a combination skin, I think this is perfect for all year. Because even a oily skin needs hydration.

During the day, when I went on excursions, to Havana, for example, and I used the Darphin Exquisâge. Yes, I love Darphin. Right now, I’m also using as my daily skincare routine the Darphin Ideal Resource. But this one for trips is really good. It has a lightweight formula that provides to your skin a little boost and I have it in a travel size, which is amazing. You clearly can see that I’m really into this brand.

At night, what I use in every single trip is the Clinique SuperDefense Night. I used it on my snow trip, and also during my summer trip. It’s perfect to recover your skin from all the external environmental damage. And gives you a boost of moisture.

The most important thing in a bag on a summer trip is sunscreen. In my face, I only use La Roche Posay. Why? Maybe because of my background as a pharmacist and because I really believe in what this brand makes. And it has been the brand that I use since I’m a little child. To Cuba, I put in the bag the new one that they have. Is the La Roche Posay Anthelios Sun Intolerance with SPF 50. I don’t have an intolerance to the sun and my skin is really good in terms of sensitivity to the sun (and it doesn’t burn too easily) but I like this sunscreen. The formula is good for all skin types. I try to really take care of my face because you can put all the anti-aging creams that you want but if you don’t take care of it, in the end, it doesn’t matter.

With this, I add a shampoo, and another feminine stuff and I was ready to go.

Next post, I’m going to tell you what I put in my makeup bag to Cuba.

Stay tuned, for more.

xoxo
