Today I bring you a mask by a well-known brand: the Origins Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay. This two-in-one purifying mask and skin refiner is formulated with Canadian willowherb, Persian silk tree, and a potent blend of actives to smooth, refine pores, and boost skin’s overall quality.
I received a travel size of this mask and I was very curious to try it because of what it promises: ‘Pores appear to vanish and clarity is restored for a radiant, youthful-looking complexion that’s silky-smooth to the touch’.
It’s also made with:
- The Mediterranean rose clay,
- Canadian willow herb,
- Exfoliating jojoba beads (that helps gently deep clean while refining skin’s texture).
My travel size brings 30ml/1oz and the normal size brings 100ml/3.4oz and as a cost of $27.00.
How to use
Origins suggest you the use of this mask one to two times per week.
-Wash face with your favorite cleanser.
-Apply mask to a clean skin, avoiding eye area.
-Leave on for 10 minutes.
-Wet fingertips and massage face in circular motions to exfoliate.
-Rinse well and follow with your serum and moisturizer.
First, this mask is one of the prettiest masks that I used. It’s pink! I know, priorities… Second, it’s no doubt one of the best masks that I used. Why? Normally, clay masks tend to make my skin a little more sensitive but this one didn’t. On the contrary, when I took it, I felt my skin very soft and so calm. I also noticed a difference in the skin texture and radiance. It really looked better after just one use. I can understand why I read so many good comments about this product (4,7/5starts on Sephora).
It’s great for combination/oily skin because my oil reduced and even in the next day, I felt my skin very balanced.
The jojoba beans is a great ingredient, it helps you exfoliate your skin in a gentle way. I didn’t massage a lot because I used this mask after my Clarisonic routine and I like to do just a gentle exfoliation after, since the Clarisonic itself already does a ‘kind of exfoliation’ on the skin. So, if you have sensitive skin, you can make a gentle massage and you’ll stay good.
I almost forgot to talk about the smell. It has the well know the smell of a clay mask. Nothing too strong but if you are some kind of a king of a smell sensitive, try to smell it before you buy it.
This is one product that when it’s over I will repurchase for sure. A Hit for sure! You can see that I really like it. I love products that make me see immediate results and this is one of them for sure.
