You probably noticed by now that we love natural brands. So we decided to talk about one of our favorites: Earth Harbor Naturals.
‘EARTH HARBOR was born with the mission of harvesting the highest-quality ingredients directly from nature to formulate nutrient dense, high-performing, synthetic-free skincare’.
This brand uses the therapeutic benefits that are found in ocean and land botanicals, using earth-conscious ingredients from both land and sea in each and every formula. Their secret is that Water and Earth go hand in hand to heal the human body, mind, and spirit. Incorporating both is the secret to achieving your best skin.
- They don’t use fillers, making each ingredient an “active ingredient”.
- 100% pure, highly-concentrated products using the minimum amount of ingredients necessary to achieve tangible results.
- Not tested on animals.
All these things make this brand a rarity in today’s skincare and cosmetics industry and that’s why we want you to know about them. It’s important these days, to take into consideration these type of brands!
We tested three different products and in this, I’m going to talk about two of them, Joana will talk about the mask on a different post.
Rose Ruby | Gemstone Face Mist
Red Ruby + Rose
The combination of Rose Floral with puré Ruby Gemstone, antioxidant-rich White Tea Extract, Hibiscus Extract and nutrient-giving Seaweed Extract forms this brightening toner, youth-booster, and hydration enhancer.
I love to use this product! It was love at first try! I’ve been using it almost every morning before the Foundation. It gives me the perfect amount of hydration (remember that I have combination skin) and it allows a perfect canvas for the Foundation.
I try to use it throughout the day but lately, my skin is more to the oily side and I felt that in the morning it’s enough. The mist is really good too, it doesn’t come out like a hairspray but on the contrary. It’s gentle enough to use on top of makeup, during the day.
It’s summer and I was really looking for a product like this for my skin when I’m at the beach.
It smells like roses, so if you love the scent of rose water then you will love this. It’s a little strong but after a couple of seconds, it dissipates.
Calypso | Facial Oil Elixir
If you are looking for a complete and natural oil, then this is what you’ve been looking for. Let me enumerate all the oils this elixir has (I’m warning you, the list is long):
Cranberry Seed Oil (ultimate skin nurturer, renewer, and natural environmental/sun protector).
Pomegranate Oil (contains a rare fatty acid, which has phenomenal anti-inflammatory properties).
Marula Oil (benefits include reducing water loss, increasing smoothness, deeply hydrating, reducing redness, nourishing, healing, moisturizing, firming, and improving skin elasticity).
Sea Buckthorn Berry Oil (Sea Buckthorn has an amazing ability to regenerate and repair skin from the inside out).
Baobab Seed Oil
Pumpkin Seed Oil
Sunflower Seed Oil
Jojoba Seed Oil
Borage Seed Oil
Spirulina Extract (stimulating the immune system and helping prevent premature skin aging).
Sweet Orange Peel Essential Oil
Neroli Essential Oil (diminish wrinkles, reduce veins and capillaries, and generate new growth in skin cells).
Calendula Flower CO2 Extract (its antiseptic and antimicrobial properties help heal skin imperfections, soothe irritations and blemishes, and regulate skin’s natural oil production).
You are probably wondering ‘Rita, why are you using an elixir with so many oilies if you have combo/oily skin?‘. It’s a good question and the answer is simple. Even the oiliest skin needs hydration, we already talked about the ‘rebound effect’, sometimes the skin produces more oil to compensate de lack of hydration. My skin is also dehydrated so I like to use this oil just one time per week, normally on Saturdays (I don’t work on these days) – it’s my skin day rest!
As I said, if you have combo/oily skin this elixir is perfect to use one time per week, but if you have a very dry skin you can use it every day as your skincare’s last step, or even has a primer.
Have you tried any of these products? What natural brand do you think we should try?
