Too Faced is one brands with the most beautiful packaging on the market. Everything is very girly and pretty, making it very difficult to resist.
But the best about this brand is the fact that they combine the visual with the quality. Everytime that I buy a product from this brand, I’m always blown away by how good it is. But that doesn’t take the fact that there are one or two products that have disappointed me over the years.
The Peaches & Cream Collection is not a new collection but it’s also not an old collection, but with so many products being released it’s always difficult to say if a collection is old or not. So, I may be late to the party but I’m here!
When I saw this collection the product that grabbed my attention was definitely the loose powder. Every YouTuber and beauty blogger raved about this product.
Unfortunately, the powder was sold out on my country for more than three months, but I left my name on the Sephora list and I just needed to wait for it to be available again (a few long months later… and finally I have it).
I couldn’t resist and with the loose powder, I bought the eyeshadow palette and the matte primer. I tried the foundation on the store but it’s not for me, for two reasons: it’s so matte that makes dry patches on my combo/dehydrated skin and I also couldn’t find my shade (too much yellow tones).
If you are curious about the palette, check the post here, where I talk about it. Spoiler: I love the palette.
Peach Perfect | Mattifying Loose Setting Powder
According to the package informations: ‘Peach perfect is infused with refreshing peach and sweet fig cream in our exclusive modern Comfort matte formula. The feather-light, universal peach tint setting powder brightens your skin and smells like a dream. Sets your Foundation and creates a silky smooth canvas for bronzers, blushes, and highlighters while helping to absorb oil and reduce shine throughout the day’.
I had my expectations really high for this product and it didn’t disappoint me. It’s a really good product, perfect to bake or even if you just want a powder that helps to mattify the skin.
I normally use more product under the eyes but I never get to baking. this powder makes my concealer prettier and in place (less creasing). For the rest of my face, I only use a little bit of powder on a brush and my skin stays matte all day.
What I love the most is the fact that even this is dated as a mattifying Powder it doesn’t let my under eyes dry as some loose powders do after some time. So if you think this is only good for combo/oily skin, you are wrong! My mom has dry skin and this sets her foundation beautifully.
It has a peach color but it doesn’t show on the skin. You also don’t have to worry about the flashback effect.
Another good thing is the cap. It prevents messes that can happen with loose powders.
The only con is the fragrance because it’s Strong! You can smell it but also taste it! Yes, you can feel the taste of peaches after you apply this powder (I like it).
Primed & Peachy | Cooling Matte Perfecting Primer
I’m still very torn about this product. According to the informations, ‘Refreshing peach and sweet fig cream, is infused in our long-lasting cooling matte primer that blurs and smooths your complexion with a brightening peach tint that Works on any skin tone’.
In the first couple of uses I liked this primer. It does the job – mattifies the skin and the foundation will last all day.
I tried it with different foundations and by the time that I normally would have my skin shinning and oily, my skin was still matte.
My problem with it was the fact that after a couple of uses I started to notice some breakouts on my skin. I really think that this primer was guilty!
I checked the ingredients in hope to find silicone as the first of the list but no! (Normally primers with a lot of silicone can cause breakouts).
If you tried this primer and had the same reaction, please tell me in the comments.
The peach fragrance is less strong in the primer that in the loose powder.
The primer has a peach color that helps to blur some imperfections, I loved that! You can wear alone or under foundation.
This collection is available on Sephora and although in the beginning, it was an exclusive collection, now it is already available in more places.
