Here in beautyworkers, we are big Jennifer Lopez fans! She’s beautiful, always dresses so well and the makeup it’s always on point.
So when we knew that Jennifer was launching a makeup collection with Inglot (also one of our favorite brands) we had to try some products. Because who doesn’t want to look like Jennifer Lopez??
Overall the collection is very complete because it has almost everything and it’s only in the beginning because Jennifer announced that they will launch more products in the future.
The collection has 4 New Liquid Lipsticks, 4 Lipsticks, 4 Matte Lipsticks, 5 Lip Gloss, 20 eyeshadows, 5 loose eyeshadows, 3 liners, mascara, false lashes, 2 loose highlighters, 5 bronzers, blushes and setting powder.
Of course, some products grabbed more our attention, like the matte lipsticks and the loose highlights. because of that, we bought one of each one.
Matte Lipstick – Flamingo
When a collection is launched, I’m always drawn to try the matte lipsticks. Because for me, the expectations on a matte lipstick are always high. The perfect formula is always difficult to achieve, they need to be matte but not so matte that can dry the lips. It’s one of the products with the hardest formula.
I love to use this kind of lipsticks but some can make my lips so dry that I look like I don’t drink water for a week.
This collection has 4 matte lipsticks, all have a beautiful color and it was very difficult to choose only one – but in the end, I bought the color Flamingo.
The color is gorgeous, everything that I look for in a nude lipstick! I have been reaching for this lipstick a lot and that is a signal that I like it!
The formula is a little bit dry, and I was expecting that because let’s be real it’s a matte lipstick. My secret is to use never skip a lip balm before applying this lipstick.
If you want it really matte, let the lip balm for some minutes in the lips and then take it off before applying the lipstick. But if you like it not-so-matte and a little more creamy, then apply the lipstick on top of the lip balm.
The packaging is really simple but beautiful. The case is black with golden details and Jennifer Lopez name on the side. The only con is the fact that it doesn’t bring an imprint with the color. It only brings the name in a sticker on the side (that’s begging to fall out).
Each lipstick costs 9$.
Jennifer Lopes Livin´The Highlight Illuminator Face, Eyes, and Body
When Jennifer Lopez does her catwalk in the red carpet it’s impossible to not repair in the glow that her face has and think, OMG, I want to look like that.
When I saw this highlight, I was drawn to it, and to know the Jennifer Lopez secret to a perfect glow (she also have the help of a good makeup artist, we know). But the right products can make such a difference.
Livin the Highlight is not for shy girls because it gives you an intense shine that stays all day.
You can use it on the face, body and on the eyes (inner corner of the brow) to create that goddess eye makeup look.
This illuminator comes in two colors, Radiant to fair/medium tones and Luminous to medium/deep tones.
The application is the key to a good use of this illuminator. It brings a black puff (so pretty) that is great to use if you want to apply it on the body but not to the face because it’s a large puff (less precision).
The best way to apply on the face is with a small brush or the beauty blender. Because a loose powder can be a little messy but don’t worry with the quantity that gets out of the jar, because it’s just a little bit.
I really love this highlight but it’s not for a everyday use because it’s not that easy to apply and can be a little overwhelming if you go to work (really intense shine). I’m not saying that you can’t use it if you want, but make sure you have a light hand when applying it.
The color is stunning, I choose the color Radiant and it’s beautiful – a caramel color, which I LOVE. Also, love the package, really great quality but that is something that I always expect from Inglot.
It brings 2,9g/0.09Oz and cost $23.00.
