My Morning Skincare Routine [Normal/Dry skin]

Hello beauties,

Here in Portugal, we are still in a heat wave, and yes, in October, and I don’t know if it is because of the hot weather or not but my skin is not in its best. I have been suffering from some breakouts especially in my chin area that is being difficult to give up.

With this happening, I have been extra picky with what I put on my face. So I changed some products of my morning skincare routine, giving a chance to brands with more natural ingredients.

If you follow us for a while you will recognize some of this products, and I hope, realize that when we say that we like a product it’s for real and that we are really using it.

Before I start my morning skincare routine, It’s important to remind you that I have normal to dry skin, so maybe some of this products are not for you but you can give them a chance.

Let’s start with my a.m. routine, shall we…

The first step of all skincare should be a clean face. In the morning you don’t have  makeup to remove but you have all the oil that you produced during the night and creams that you applied before bed. So we don’t need to make a deep cleansing, meaning that you can avoid harsh products, but instead choose something that cleans but also that wake-up your face, giving it luminosity and smoothing the skin.

The Centella bubble cleansing foam from Íunik is a Spa in a bottle. Why am I saying this? Well, maybe because the first time that I tried it, the smell brought me directly to a Spa. It’s so good…

I really, really love this cleansing foam. It’s made with natural ingredientes and has in the composition 69% of Centella Asiatica extract instead of purified water. This foam will clean your face in a sensitive way giving it moisture, taking care of your pores, balancing the ph and also smoothing the skin. Another ingredient of its composition that I also love is tea tree leaf water. This ingredient is really good to calm especially the sensitive skin.

It’s good for all skin types and I can guarantee you, that will feel instantly the face refresh and smooth.

I prefer to use it in the morning but it can be also used at night. If you prefer that way, my advice is to use it after a makeup remover.

I do highly recommend you to try the Íunik Centella bubble foam, it costs 17,99 US$ and brings 150mL (5.07oz). If you want to try it click here.

The second step of my morning skincare routine is the Toner. One of the first posts that I did was about this toner, and yes it still my Holy Grail. I’m talking about my  Filorga NCTF- Essence Supreme Regeneration Lotion

I’m not going to talk about this product a lot in here, because all the information you can find here.

But in a resume, the Filorga NCTF essence lotion prepares the skin to receive the serums and creams that we will apply after it like it was an enhancer of the features for the rest of the skincare. This toner also smoothes the skin, hydrates and feels wonderful on the face.

After the prep, my skin is ready for the third step  the Serum.

This was another step where recently I switched products, to one with more natural ingredients. Once more Íunik helped me on this department.

I have been trying for months now the Íunik Black Snail Restore Serum. Unlike the foam, this sérum doesn’t have a smell. It actually doesn’t smell to anything at all – which is good if you have sensitive skin or are picky with scents.

This is a highly concentrated serum, good for all skin types, with black snail, to give nutrition, smooth and repair the skin; Centella Asiatica to regenerate and stimulate the skin and also contains black superfood, that is known for being an antioxidant and maintain the youthfulness of the skin.

The black snail serum will help you with dark spots, wrinkles, moisture and generally with all age problems.

The texture of this product is viscous, almost feels like an oil in the face. After a minute, it’s completely absorbed, so if you have oily skin you also can use it.

I’ve been using it for months in the morning and night skincare and I have been liking it. It doesn’ break out me out and helped reduce the ones that I already had, so is a positive thing.

I think that with time, I will see more results with it.

The fourth step of my morning skincare is an important one to me and even if I skip all, I can’t skip this – the eye cream. The eyes are my most concern area just because of the dryness.

The product that I have been using for months was never reviewed but was already mentioned on the blog. I’m talking about the Darphin Hydraskin all-day eye refresh gel-cream.

Remember my trip to Andorra (here) and Cuba (here), yes? Well this product accompanied me the entire time, and yes is the same bottle, so a little goes a long way. Now is really at the end of it and I don’t think that I will buy this again, at least right now. Not that I don’t like it, because I do, is just because is not cheap and is also not the most moisturizing eye cream that I already tried, and winter is coming, I will need something stronger in that department.

Maybe next summer, I hope that my under eyes are not so dry anymore and I will use it again. If your under eyes are normal I highly recommend it. It’s made with natural ingredients and like you see, it took a lot of time to come to an end.

You can buy it here, brings 15mL and costs $43.00.

The fifth step is also the last step of my morning skincare routine but is not the least importante – the cream.

The cream that I’ve been using for some time is the OLEHENRIKSEN C-Rush Brightening gel crème.

Vitamin C is so important to our skin because of its healthy properties. I absolutely adore this cream, and I’m scared that is almost empty.

It makes wonderfulls to my skin, and that shows during the day.

If I’m in a no makeup day, this cream gives me a natural glow like a primer and a highlighter.

Do you want to know more about this cream, if yes click here to see our full review of the Olehenriksen C-rush brightening gel cream.

And that’s it, this is my Morning skin care routine that I’m doing for a couple of months now. It’s not difficult and easy to use and doesn’t take too long to do.

Some of these products were kindly given to us, but the opinions are ours and only ours. If I’m using it that means that I really liked them.

What is the number one product of your skincare routine that you can’t live without? Can’t wait to know what it is.
