Did you miss our Monday Mask?! We missed a lot.
Since last week, I made a pact with myself that is to take an hour of the weekend to pamper myself and take care of my face.
Last week, I cheated because I went to Budapest. I loved, the city is amazing. But like you can imagine when you are traveling, sometimes you don’t have time to take proper care of your skin, let alone do a mask.
But I’m back home and finally doing (at least) one mask.
The mask that I chose to try was the Sephora Blue Clay mask. This mask was a Sephora’s birthday gift. With all the stress from the week, plains and everything, I think this is the perfect mask to do right now.
The Blue Clay mask is part of an exclusive Sephora Collection of clay masks, in which each one has a different color that is attributed to a different function.
- Purple Clay Mask: Moisturizes and soothes;
- Blue Clay Mask: Purifies and oxygenates;
- Green Clay Mask: Purifies and minimizes pores;
- Yellow Clay Mask: Revitalizes and tones;
- Red Clay Mask: Energizes and fights fatigue;
- Pink Clay Mask: Unifies and brightens;
- White Clay Mask: Mineralizes and soothes;
- Grey Clay Mask: Mattifies and balances (click here if you like to read what Rita thought about this one).
When I received this mask, I was in shock how small it was, but now that I used, I realized that the expression “A little goes a long way” suits perfectly to these clay mask. You just need a very small portion to the entire face. In the package, it says that it is for 4 uses, but I think you can do more.
The Sephora Blue Clay mask is enriched with blue clay and seaweed extract of natural origin.
This mask helps detoxify the skin, eliminate impurities and traces of pollution and also gives a radiant look to the skin making it more brightening.
- Apply on a clean and dry face or in the spot treatment;
- Leave it for 15 minutes;
- Rinse with lukewarm water.
Use maxim 2 times per week.
The first thing that I liked about this mask is the fact that it doesn’t dry completely in the skin. You still can move your face muscles and don’t feel the dryness that some clay masks usually make.
When I took the mask off, my skin was soft and more radiant.
Because of my particular type of skin, I can’t do it every single week because we are currently in winter and my skin is a lot dryer and what my face calls is for a hydration mask not a purifying one, like this. But I’m not saying that I don’t like it, because I do. Even a dry skin needs to be purified once in a while to prevent clug pores and breakouts. What I need to do is just apply a good moisturizing cream or do a hydrating mask after.
I’m sure that I’m going to use this mask more times because it really leaves a feeling of cleaning skin that I LOVE.
The scent is very subtle, that is another pro point.
If you are interested you can buy it on Sephora’s website and it cost $8.00 for 35mL.
Have you tried any of the Sephora’s collection masks? Which one is your favorite? We would love to know what did you received from Sephora for your birthday this year? Tell us in the comments.
