Today we are going to talk about a USA brand that’s a specialist when it comes to superfood skincare – the Youth to the People! If you don’t know this brand, then you’ve been leaving under a rock because everyone is talking about it!
I was really curious about the products of this brand, especially this face wash. Why? Have you ever saw Sephora’s youtube channel, where people with different types of skin show their skincare routine? Well, this face wash is in 50% of those videos. And secondly, this is a brand that has been talked a lot (and only good things, I might add). My curiosity was on a big level…
Before trying this product, I read some opinions and along all the claims, there’s something that’s always there…the price! yes, it’s a little bit expensive but if it’s good as everyone says, then it could be worthed, right?
– Kale: A leafy veg that is a must-have for more than just your morning juice; rich in skin-loving phytonutrients and vitamins C, E, and K to strengthen and leave skin glowing.
– Spinach: A lightweight skin soother with cooling properties and rich with conditioning essential fatty acids.
– Green Tea: An anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory ingredient that keeps skin clear.
What it claims?
A daily green juice cleanser for your face with cold-pressed antioxidants to remove makeup and prevent build-up in pores, while keeping skin’s pH balanced.
I love the fact the product comes in a glass bottle, it gives some luxury to the product and when we think about nature and planet, glass is better than plastic (check the decomposition time of both materials, if you don’t know what I’m talking about).
I like how this product performs when used with my Clarisonic, it produces the right amount of bubbles! I really feel my skin clean when I use this product. I also like the scent of it, it’s not too strong but you can feel it, and it’s a pleasant scent.
The big disadvantage is definitely the tight feeling this product leaves on my skin after washing my face. I always need to use a strong moisturizer after and that’s big because I have combo/oily skin. That fact is probably due to the fact this contains green tea, and this ingredient normally results on that tight feeling on my skin.
Check the ingredients list and you will be very surprised on how much natural ingredients this face wash contains, and if you are a ‘natural’ person that likes natural products, then you will love this! It has Sephora’s green clean seal, which means that it’s free of sulfates SLS and SLES, parabens, formaldehyde, phthalates, mineral oils (and more).
Did I noticed any difference after using it for almost a month? No, I did not.
I have to agree that the price is a little high, but it’s a green product, with natural ingredients and it’s sold as a skinfood product!
Now, if you have the money and want something green and natural, this is for you but don’t expect big differences! But if you are on a budget and want something with green tea, then buy the Sephora Green tea face wash, the scent is almost the same and it’s a quarter of the price (the results are the same, for me)!
You can buy this product on Sephora for $10 (2oz./59mL) or $36 (8oz./237mL).
