CHANEL LE TEINT ULTRA | Ultrawear Flawless Foundation

Hello beauties,

I think that I can say that by now I tried a good amount of foundations, but I never tried a foundation that looks better and better with time!

I’m talking about the Chanel Le Teint Ultra Ultrawear Flawless Foundation! I found the Benjamin Button of the foundations!!

As always, first, let me tell you a little bit about this foundation…

What it is?

‘A fluid foundation with a luminous matte finish for a flawless, perfectly enhanced complexion all day long.
Its light, no-transfer texture combines coverage and comfort for a perfect makeup result that stays natural’.

What it contains?

A combination of absorbent powders and a duo of zinc and polysaccharide to keep shine under control and offer a long-lasting, 12-hour matte finish.
Moisturizing active ingredients to offer a sensation of comfort all day long.
Hydrophobic pigments to deliver an even color in any situation.
UVB protection: SPF 15.

Now, let me explain why I have to call this foundation a Benjamin Button*…

Normally, when you apply a matte foundation, it can show every imperfection or dry patches that you may have, and you can see that pretty much after you apply certain foundations and with others, you just need to wait a couple of hours.

Foundations and overall all the makeup tend to look worse with time, some even start to disappear after a couple of hours.

Well, forget those problems with this foundation! After application, it has a luminous finish, but give it a few minutes to set on the skin and you will start to see the matte finish. Incredibly it maintains some luminous effect but with a dry sensation (that I love on my combo/oily skin).

I have dehydrated skin and I normally don’t like matte foundations because it tends to show my dry patches. And, It’s really difficult to find a foundation that looks perfect on my nose.

When I apply this Foundation I’m never 100% happy on how it looks, but as the hours go by this foundation looks better and better.

After four hours my skin has no oil and the foundation looks great. Six hours and it still looks great. Eight hours and I don’t feel the need to set the skin with powder at all. Honestly, after ten hours I still have foundation and although it’s not great, it still looks presentable!

Another thing that I like is the fact that it doesn’t transfer!

It’s black magic, I think!

Now, there are some things that can be a turn down when it comes to the Le Teint Ultra! The scent can be a little strong for some people. Not for me, because I really like that luxurious Chanel scent! The perfume stays on the skin for quite some time and I don’t mind at all.

You have to be quick when applying the product and my advice is to apply it always with a big brush.

The shade range, at least what’s available in my country, is really bad and this foundation oxidizes on my skin like crazy!!

I tried the fairest shade available in my country and it’s too light (shade 012) and too pink for me. Then I tried the shade 020 that looked great but after a couple of seconds, it oxidized too much on my skin! Finally, I found the shade 022 that surprisingly doesn’t oxidize so much and it fits on my skin tone.

I’m not 100% happy with this shade, I would like to have a lighter tone but unfortunately, I think that’s not possible for now! (fingers crossed that Chanel is reading this and thinking about making a shade just for me…)

I don’t know why this Foundation doesn’t have more recognition. I can’t find any online post about it and it’s truly a shame because this is really a good foundation!

Finally, you can bet all your money that the Le teint Ultra will be one of my favorite foundations for the summer. This foundation retails for 45€ (a reasonable price for a luxurious Foundation, again why anyone talks about it???).
