Thailand Lookbook

Hello beauties,

Recently I did a trip to the beautiful Thailand. I loved the place.

The culture is so different from what I know but yet so rich. It’s definitely a place everyone should visit at least once in life. The people are really nice and I never had a problem there.

I could be here talking nonstop about this country but I think that you here to know about the fashion part of the trip.

First things first, let’s just pass through some things that you need to know before going to Thailand in terms of clothes.

They have the time of the rain that goes between May and November and the dry time that goes between December and April. It’s always hot in there but it changes a little between each season. I went in April so I had days when the temperature was around 40ºC/104ºF in Bangkok.

The second thing you should know before going to Thailand is that if you want to visit the temples you NEED to dress for the occasion – shoulders and knees can’t be visible. You also can’t wear something that shows the curves of the body. These are just some rules that we all need to respect and apply.

note: None of these clothes were a gift or PR, I bought everything myself.

Now about my trip. I spent 3 days in Bangkok and 5 days in Phuket.

My first day in Bangkok was in their New Years Eve. Yes, their New Year is not like ours or the Chinese. There it’s celebrated on the 13th of April and the party goes to the 15th of April. The celebration inglobes be on the street with water guns wetting people. Honestly, I think I didn’t choose the right outfit for this specific occasion, but I had a reason. In this day I went to the Lebua sky bar, where the movie Hangover II was filmed so I needed to be a little more dress up.

I chose a black Zara jumpsuit that I wore with Guess Sandals. The Zara jumpsuit is from the actual collection but the Guess sandals are from last year collection. The jumpsuit is super comfortable and I really like it.

The second day in Bangkok was the day that I visited the temples. Because all the rules that I mentioned before I was already prepared and knew exactly what to wear on this day. This was an extremely hot day and I can say that we spent all day with a natural glow on the skin because of the sweat.

I chose a Zara dress from this season and older sandals because I needed something comfortable to walk all day and those were certainly a good choice.

One almost obligated visit are the night markets. They are something from another world in Thailand. You can buy almost everything, including falsifications of watches, bags, etc… You will also be asked if you want to see a Ping Pong show.

For this night I chose Stradivarius pants with a Salsa blouse. They are both from last season so I don’t know if they are available anymore.

The last full day in Bangkok was spent in the floating market and in one of the most famous streets in Bangkok the Khao San road.

Because I was not going to temples I had a chance to dress more appropriately to the weather. So I chose Levi´s skirt, a Zara shirt of this season, and my Adidas superstar.

Now Phuket! I’m not going to show all my outfits because most of my days were spent on the beach or visiting Phi Phi. And that includes bikinis and just a cover-up, nothing too special I think to show to you.

Here an example of a day in a bikini for me. what can I say?! The hat is from Parfois and the shorts are from Mango.

But I have some outfits to show you, so let’s start…

For the traveling day between Bangkok and Phuket, I chose a comfy outfit.

The picture that I’m going to show you were taken in the zone of Karon in Phuket. We did a walk to see the zone where we were going to stay for the rest of the week.

To the comfy outfit, I picked a Mango top, H&M pants, and Zara shoes.

Patong, a popular and crazy zone of Phuket. here you can eat insects and have a crazy and eccentric night. It’s not a place to not open mind people, that I guarantee to you.

For a night out in Patong, I chose Zara Shoes, Zara top and, Cotton Brothers skirt with my beloved Capitola watch (Use our code: BEAUTYWORKERS15 that provides you 15% discount here). Maybe a little too dressy to the type of environment that I was but I was not capable of wear some clothes that I saw.

I did visit the Sanctuary of Elephants of Phuket, where we don’t ride them, we just take care of them, giving them food and bath. I loved this day with the Elephants. Learned a lot, and discover things that I didn’t know.

To spent the day with the nice giants, I chose some black trainers from Guess, Levi´s shorts and a Mango shirt that they were selling last year as a limited edition to help women around the world. My hair accessory was from H&M.

The last two photos that I have to show were two outfits that I wore on different nights to dinner. Both photos were taken in the hotel.

In the first photo, I’m using a Zara tunic that I modified to become a dress. I think I had a great idea and if someone does the same I want the credits. 😉 and I combined with Zara’s shoes.

In the second photo, I’m wearing Mango shorts, H&m top, and Zara espadrilles.

I hope you like this type of post and hopefully, I gave you some ideas for your summer outfits.

Can’t wait to see the outfits that you recreated to this summer. Post on Instagram and tag us. Maybe you can also inspire me.

  1. I’m truly enjoying the design and layout of your blog. It’s a very easy on the eyes which makes it much more enjoyable for me to come here and visit more often. Did you hire out a designer to create your theme? Great work!
