Last week I went traveling and crazy as I am, I forgot my makeup bag with all the makeup and skincare that I had planned to take on this trip. Unforgivable, I know. Anyway, this situation can be seen in two ways, the negative part is that I had to spend money, the positive is that I was able to buy and try new products.
The main product I really missed was a moisturizer because it’s the skincare product we can’t live without (well…you know what I mean). Along with this and knowing that I was going to expose my skin to the sun (after all I went to another country to see things and not to be closed in a hotel room), I needed a sunscreen.
Finding this product was good, because besides moisturizing my skin, it contains SPF 25, and if you still do not understand what product I am talking about, is the Hangover Good to Go Moisturizer from Too Faced.
If you are not into the new releases, Too Faced launched this month two new products: a Serum (Hangover Good in Bed Ultra-Hydrating Replenishing Serum) and a Moisturizer (Good to Go – the one we are talking about). There is a third product that has not yet been released, but the brand founder Jerrod Blandino published a censored photo of the product and he likes to teaze us on Instagram, we still don’t know what it is but we do know it comes in some sort of a glass jar.
I was tempted to buy the serum but thankfully I opted for the moiturizer because it has been a great ally these last few days.
What can I tell you about this moisturizer:
‘Broad Spectrum SPF 25 protects against UVA & UVB rays. The moisturizer that makes your makeup BETTER!’
- With coconut Water, Prebiotic Based Ingredients
How to use: Apply every morning and prior to sun exposure. Use 3-4 pumps directly to clean face and neck after cleansing, avoiding the eye area.
What I really think about it…
First, like I said a thousand times, Too Faced is already in 2025 when it comes to packaging: totally cute and fits perfectly with the entire Hangover line. The names are also on another level, all with double meaning but in the same family (Better than sex, Good in Bed, Sex on the peach… do you see the common subject?).
Good to Go is the most innocent when it comes to Too Faced product names, but it fits perfectly because this moisturizer is really simple to use, quick to apply and a two-in-one. I love how my skin absorbs it quickly and it doesn’t leave a film or a white cast like some SFP products do.
Do I advice to use it at night? No, I don’t. First, because it has SPF and you won’t beneficiate nothing by using a product like this at night and second have you seen photos of you at night with products that contain SPF? Don’t. It’s not a good idea.
After one week using it, I do feel my skin really hydrated and although I tend to like more matte finish products in summer (I have combo skin), I’ve been liking the luminous glow this product gives to my skin. They advise to use 3-4 pumps but I think that’s too much, I only use 1-2 and it’s enough for my combo skin.
I also noticed that my foundations holds better when I use this product. Again they advice the use of the serum, following this moisturizer, the Hangover primer and then makeup. I’ve been only using this moisturizer before foundation and the results are very positive. I think that if I add the hangover primer, it could be too much for my oily parts. This moisturizer alone is enough and I do not feel my skin more oily at the end of the day, on the contrary, it looks luminous all day and in place.
The best is that you can use it before makeup or even alone!
My skin was in a bad shape last week but now it’s better, I didn’t notice more breakouts with this product (I was a little afraid because of the coconut) and the ones that I had are much better! I don’t know if this product helped or if it’s because I no longer use the other product that caused me the problem.
Now, let’s talk about the elephant in the room: the SPF of 25 and the fact that’s not enough if you are going exposure your skin in a hot sun and I’m really disappointed and surprised that Jerrod, a skincare junkie, and a really fair person, though that an SPF 25 is enough. Odd…
Overall, I’m really happy with this product (just wish it had a little more SPF but I can work with it) and how it’s been doing on my skin. I’m also curious too try the serum but I would use it at night.
Have you tried the new Too Faced skincare collection? What’s the product that you are more excited to try? Let me know in the comments what do you think that is the surprise product?
