Hello, beauties
This year the statement of the Golden Globes was definitely the color black! The continuing sexual harassment allegations against some of Hollywood’s most powerful men – like Harvey Weinstein, made women empowered for the first time to speak about harassment (in some cases, that happened some years ago).
But this was not the first time the red carpet reflected the stars protest. In 2010, many Golden Globes attendees wore red ribbons in honor of those affected by the Haiti earthquake (that happened five days prior the ceremony). Last year, little pops of blue were all over the Oscars red carpet, worn by stars in support of the organization that fought the Trump administration travel ban.
If you are a Beautyworkers blog follower, you may think this type of post is a little bit strange, mostly because we usually just talk about makeup and skincare but since our University times, Joana and I, always like to sit together and talk about the looks that we liked and the ones that we don’t. So, we decided to do the same, but via post.
Susan Keleshi Watson shows us that you don’t need to wear a gown, to look elegant and beautiful.
FYI- Susan is wearing a Monsoori jumpsuit.
Kendall Jenner was one of the best of the night. With an outstanding dress, and the perfect shoes. (oh the shoes….I’m already dreaming with these)
People, stop judging her face, “Nobody is perfect”, everyone has problems and she is beautiful.
FYI- Kendall is wearing a Giambattista Valli.
Margot Robinson– I can’t remember a Red Carpet where Margot doesn’t look stunning. And the Golden Globes were no exception. The dress, the hair and the makeup were on point.
FYI- Margot is wearing a Gucci dress.
Jessica Biel was the good surprise of the night. Because in the last years, she had ups and downs. But this year she looks “perfection”, and of course, she came with her best accessory, Justin Timberlake.
FYI- Jessica is wearing a Dior dress.
I can’t choose between Diane Kruger and the next one as the best of the night. Diane never leave us disappointed! This is what’s supposed to bring to an event like this. She is so elegant. I can’t wait to see what she will bring to the Oscars.
FYI- Diane is wearing Prada.
I was not expecting this from Dakota Johnson. Why?! Because I still have on my mind that plain and boring dress and hair that she wore on the Oscars, I think two years ago. This time she nailed it. Stunning and perfection.
FYI- Dakota is wearing Gucci.
Gucci for us was definitely the winner of the night with two dresses in the best of Golden Globes.
Blanca Blanco- Blanca loves red. At least it’s what she said when answering to why she didn’t wear black. Well, she caught all eyes on her, I’m sure. She tried to imitate some kind of Jessica Rabbit vibe. Upsss
FYI- Blanca is wearing an Atria Couture.
Allison Williams- The dress is not bad bad. It’s just so simple for a Golden Globes. And the hair…I think the hairstyle doesn’t suit her. It’s a no-no!
FYI- Allison is wearing Armani Privé.
Sarah Jéssica Parker – I love the shoes and that’s all. It’s everything I have to say!
FYI: Sarah Jessica is wearing a Dolce and Gabbana dress and SJP shoes.
Gwendoline Christie- It’s a black dress and it had everything to work but we didn’t like it! It looks like a dress made by Cinderella’s little mouse friends.
FYI: Gwendoline is wearing a Giles Deacon dress, Ara Vartanian jewelry, and Manolo Blahnik shoes.
Caitriona Balfe – I love Catriona, she’s beautiful. I’m a big Outlander fan and every time I see Catriona on a premiere or on a red carpet I always like the dresses she chooses. But I didn’t like this at all. But hey, the shoes are gorgeous.
FYI: Caitriona is wearing Chanel.
Alicia Vikander- I like the dress. I really do. But I was expecting more from Alicia. But she has a house in Portugal, so I can’t talk about my possible neighbor.
FYI: Alicia is wearing a Louis Vuitton dress with a Bulgari ring and earrings.
Share with us your favorite look.
xoxo
