NEW Guerlain Terracotta Touch Loose powder and OLD Terracotta Bronzer

Hello beauties,

Who can say no to a good bronzer? Well, I can’t!! If there is a make-up product that I like, it’s a good bronzer!

To choose the perfect bronzer there are a few things that we have to take into consideration, first, the bronzer should be 1 or 2 shades darker than the natural skin tone. Second, is the tone: if you have a light skin you should choose peach tones, while darker skins ask for golden or amber tones.

The skin type is also important. If the skin is dry opt for a liquid bronzer, but if the skin is oily or combo it is beneficial to use powdered formula.

If I could only choose a bronzer powder to use for the rest of my life, it would be the eternal Terracotta by Guerlain!

There are several bronzers that I love (future post about it?) and use immensely, but terracotta has a special place in my heart!

The terracotta in the color 03 Natural brunette a beautiful bronzer-golden color that has the ideal tone for my skin, depending on the season, I just have to load a little more or less in the brush.

I can only find a disadvantage in this powder, and it is the price! Yes, it’s expensive. Very expensive!

It’s true that if you only look at the price, there are more expensive powders, but I’m talking about the price/quantity. Have you noticed that a terracotta have only 10g of product and the price is around 51€ while the Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess is the same price but brings something like 21g of product?! This makes terracotta very expensive!

Not long ago I was fortunate enough to get my second terracotta package and that made me very happy (okay, I admit it was offered to me, there may have been tears when my last package was over and at home, they felt sorry for me and bought me another).

I’m a Guerlain’s fan, the products are expensive but the quality is amazing. I’ve already written about how much I love Teint de Jolie foundation (my favorite), and I spoke to you about Lingerie de Peau not long ago.

Terracotta is the ultimate bronzer and the one that I can trust whenever I want a healthy look and a look that screams ‘I’ve been on an island vacation where I have done nothing but lie in the sun’!

And did you know that the iconic terracotta bronzer powder has an SPF of 20? Let’s not talk about the characteristic fragrance of Guerlain’s products! Summer and vacations on a bottle!

To keep the tradition and make me want to spend more money, this year Guerlain has launched a new product: Terracotta Touch!

This new loose powder promises a subtle tone of tan all year whether you’ve sunbathing or stayed the whole summer working on a close space! The pigments of this powder give a healthy glow to the skin, keeping it matte and soft. It is enriched with jojoba oil, to keep the skin moisturized and radiant.

Is it expensive? It’s Guerlain, what were you expecting? But I have good news because this product brings 25g of loosing powder instead of the usual 10g of compact powder! The price is around 53€.

I finish this post talking about the beautiful packaging that Guerlain always provides, it’s heartbreak to throw it away when the product ends (I keep them all, hoarder alert!).

Do I want it? Yes, a lot. But for now, I will enjoy my new (but old) Terracotta powder.

Let me know in the comments what’s your favorite Guerlain product so I can try it!
